Does this facility exist? If it does, please let me know how to do it!

I don’t believe it does…yet…but you can find people’s email addresses in the members handbook (that’s what I do).

I keep meaning to look you up actually Tim, I think we possibly both have very similar questions so a chat sometime would be really good.

Ben / Tim. Question for you. Would an update and link from the club Facebook account help ?   I am trying to workout if using Facebook is helpful. I noted other clubs like BDC  VSCC. Gilbern And Prescott are very active on Facebook as well as their websites.  Any comments greatly appreciated. RON

If you want to offer members more of a “members only” benefit e.g. the technical forum then the website is better, but facebook is good for attracting new members possibly.  I’m not a huge fan to be honest, if they website is good then there’s a risk of spreading ourselves too thin if we do both.

my email is craptiger at (hotmail) doc c0m if anyone needs it

I assume PM. Is personal message ??? A sort of  private email system ??  Let’s hope Ben and Tim can explain the system / advantages. I use the PM system on Facebook to contact a few of our club members. But like Ben I am not a great fan of Facebook.

Thanks for the responses, folks. Yes, PM is ‘personal message’, and can be of great assistance, should one wish to discuss with just one person, say, the minutiae of a particular subject, and so avoiding being a bore to other members on the forum. I’d actually also prefer not to have to use F/book if there’s a choice – and instead use an internal AOC facility which merely draws upon the fact that AOC will have all members’ Email details. The TR Register, of which l’m also a member, uses this latter system – and it works very nicely. Best, Tim.

I think the TR Register system uses Email, Mel. Definitely not W/App. T.
